    Phone pix of the screen posted here are good for examining how the Enviromental conditions may affect the screen..

    Snapshots from the units themselves are better for examining detailed differences of image quality here in the forum...

    Please try to get both...

    the reason I only have lowrance pics is i'm use to the 998c and I know what it does well and does not do well.
    I'm most interested in the HDS7 touch to see if it can adequately replace the 998c HD.
    When both units are on, the create significant interference in the SI mode.

    I love the down scan on the hds 7 BUT i still think it has to perform as well as the 998c hd on the side imaging , may check it out today again

    Those are nice looking di screen shots. Got a question Brett. When you are zoomed in to a tight range on your chart plotter screen is the shore line real blurry? On my HDS touch I can't hardly tell where the water stops and the land starts. At night it is nice to know how much room you have. I don't want to eat a pier.
