I would think in shallow water application ...this scenario of the depth not being correct because of the angled xducer orientation probably would not be so much of an issue..
The edge of the beam (left or right depending on which way the xducer is rotated) is still going to contact bottom...

you guys are getting too close to the transducer=-O
Non hd rotated transducer test.mp4 - YouTube tube video using rotated Transducer Etherneted to the second unit.after going over structure using the rotated Transducer i make second pass with the standard si Transducer..the trolling motor kept turning on me but i finally did get enough to show the difference. This was done using the 800hz only.
Non hd speed test.mp4 - YouTube this video shows me running on plane using just the one standard si Transducer without the need for a second Transducer...i can run 50 mph with this setup
Non hd 360-1.mp4 - YouTube this video is to clear up the mith that being spend that the 360 only works while setting still. Its not the best view but it gives and ideal of how it functions
Been watching this thread for awhile and wanted to say thanks to rickie and kosmo for the work. Here is a shot I got from the ducer rotated 60 degrees,Thanks guys!
That's a sharp looking image! No pun intended.
