Vik...your friend has basically "aimed" the downward pointing piezo out toward the side at 45°...??

Yes, he had, and he his is happy with having half SI on his DI , but I think he will come up to dedicated SI unit sooner or later

Vic could you elaborate on this? I was brainstorming in my head at work about doing just this.

Vic...I am also curious about this setup (of rotating the DI xducer)..

How is this obtaining accurate depth...??

I ask also kosmo...are those last images from the rotated 60° HDSI xducer...but viewed thru the Ethernet on the other unit...!?
