I'm running 6.610 on both units. The picture turned out dark for some reason. This another picture I edited to be brighter.Name: S00018.jpg

Ok, finally got back out and did as Greg said and left the 858 on the console off. This is what I saw.

    No lines which is good.

A question though, does the 858 only interfere with the 998 while the 998 is in SI mode? I had both units running in DI and didn't seem to see any.

That would depend on if the interference is crosstalk or RF ...

The lines going away when you turned off the other unit would indicate the interference was crosstalk...

If you see no indication of interference (in any view) with 1 sonar off, this would be the preferred configuration for your operation...

A couple of tips on your image...

Scan a little shorter side to side for structure to show bigger (I generally scan 65-70 left and right)..

Set chart speed to match boat speed (you may already know this)...

Scan at 800kHz for more detail closer to boat (outside edges of image may be darker)..
Scan at 455kHz to see out to the edges of the screen (image may be fuzzier)..

    Post more screenshots...

On my units I only notice it SI. Another tip you might already know is you can remove the side readouts.
