With the transducer way out to the side like that it won't easily see around the motor or the hull.

Had sort of the same problem. The boat was leaning to starboard because of my weight and the load. Once I shifted the load it fixed it.
Temporary mount the Xducer to a broom stick and stick it down in the water...
If the line goes away, something on your boat is blocking the left signal...
Also try different attitudes of the Xducer...clockwise/ counter clockwise...
1 side dark sometimes indicates the Xducer is not sitting parallel with the water (looking at the xducer from the rear) causing the SI beam on that "dark side SI " to "shoot" up into the water column on that darker side...

Like Rickie said put it on stick and it should go away. Looks to me like xducer is not straight and as said earlier ,looks like signal is hitting left side of boat, if turn away from left side i think may go away.

I bet the white line is motor exhaust trim the motor up and u will probably see a change in the size of the white line
Seems to me the fuzz by the centerline is motor exhaust which about every sidescan sees. And the left side is brighter because it is the shoreline side with a rising bank which will give a stronger return while the right side is the deeper side with a dropping bottom which will give a weaker return. Just play with your contrast and sensitivity and looks like you could get a pretty good picture there.
