    Default View Key on 898


    Alright, so how long have we been able to press the View Key for a couple of seconds and get a quick menu that allows us to go directly to the screen of our choice??

    Nice feature, just wished I had known about it sooner.

    Stymie...I noticed in your post at bbc that someone answered this quiz that this View key submenu was added in 1 of the latest software upgrades ....

    It was mentioned that this came with the NMEA upgrade...(I have not upgraded to that version myself)...

    I thought I would add that info here so anyone following this thread would have the info...

    Yep, I skipped that update myself. Played with it some more today. I will like it if I can remember to use it. Pretty much automatically go to one of my three presets and toggle from them.

    No for the 798c Si and 798ci Si models because they have not received the 6.420 (or newer) software update.

    For the 798ci HD Si models, I don’t know. I don’t have one of these models to check this on but will try to do so later today. Our phone and Internet lines were down yesterday so I’m a little behind in my other duties…
