Haven’t been out in a while, but may try tomorrow and will post results. I would think this time of year like always about 8 to 12 ft down in 15 to 20 fow of water would be the ticket.
Watch out for the 4th of July crowd.
Good Luck!
Was planning on taking wife (little patience) and a neighbor kid (less patience) to Smithville Fri night. I have not fished there since spawn. Was looking for some advice, tips, or even good lies so that I can put them on some crappie. Will probably be fishing north of W. You can PM on locations
Thanks

Don't go out nights, but morning they were around the trees. About 2 feet off the bottom in at least 12 fow in coves. We used minnows with a jig head.
Work so I can fish and fish so I can survive work.
