SACA Wilson tournament is postponed till next weekend. Keith just called and Shoals Creek is still locked up almost out to the mouth of the river, so we will NOT fish the tournament tomorrow. Looks like pretty good temps today and tomorrow, but the ice isn't melting fast enough and there may be big floating chuncks tomorrow that could tear up some sh**. Keith will try to call or email everyone, he just wanted to get the word out as soon as possible.
See ya

took my boat for a trial run today. Put in at the dam and ram up to shoals creek. THe creek with the boat launch was fozen up completely, ice about an inch or more thick. Some folks had busted up a path to the creek channel, but it will be frozen up again by morning I guess.
Honestly, I was very surprised at the ice. From betty mitchell slough back it was solid sheet accross the entire creek. And I was there ar 4:30 in the afternoon and it was 58 degrees, water temp was 37-38. Would have never thought it.
Unreal

I was shocked this morning when I got there at 8:30am with the ice I went on over to little bear froze, cedar and horseshoe also froze. I hated to postpone tournament but not worth a chance of someone getting hurt or messing up their boat.Glad your boat did good you should have went on up in shoals and broke some ice.
