Don't pass up fishing boat docks, and with the SI unit, that should help you out. Try fishing under pontoon boats where the back of the boat is getting hit with sunlight. The pontoons will warm up...

I've had a lot of success with black/dark colored jigs fishing heavily shaded areas such as large boat houses that block out a lot of sunlight.

Plastic baits on a plain hook works great. I like the longer shank on the plain hook, seems to get the hook in the meat of the roof of their mouth, not in their paper soft lips.

That wind can sure change your plans quick. Glad you were able to put a few in the boat.
