chicot lake is a hard lake to fish sometimes,i have fished it for over fifty yrs. and it is rare that i do not catch a mess of fish when i go.

i use the feather light 6.6 &7 foot ,i push 9 and 10 wt DT/F on these rods . i find it takes a heavy line to load these rods up .

the wind was rough,but i caught some nice fish gills and chinks,green sinking spider#4.
the water is still muddy in spots and the lake is still high ,but the fish are there.
