I first saw this type fishing when I visited ARK the first time. Doesnt seem very exciting to me and reminds me of running a trap line. It deffinetly is meat hunting and not sport.

Langlade cty & Forest cty doing very well on crappie and bluegills. I haven't kept any of the gills because they are full of eggs and havent been on the beds yet. I dont fish beds.

It depends on the tyer. Some stay together and some don't. What I do after receiving flies is go over the thread with head cement. Also some fish are hard on flies, Bluegills are one, Crappies OK....

Ice out is around mid april and I get out as soon as ice leaves. Fish eat all year around. Small size 12 scuds etc. work well. Try different colors in weedy areas 6 ft or less.
