A friend has invited me to hunt his farm where he typically sees 40-50 birds. We saw 8 birds today, half were toms. I'm hunting there tomorrow, those numbers are still better than I've been seeing.

Thanks, guys, just speculating. This would be ultra early for all the hens to be nesting. Even then, I would still be seeing toms somewhere. Really a different situation than normal.
