For me, that gar, on that rod and reel, would be the catch of a lifetime. I can't even wrap my head around hooking one of those things lol.

I do. Especially the jigs that have no barb/bait keeper on them. I have a buddy that wraps his with unscented unwaxed dental floss then glues the jigs to that. He is retired and has a triple axle...
