How do you catch crappie this time of year I never tried before?

Caught 6, a few niceun's and 1 slab way up little river. Planning to go Sunday morning to fight the cold and rain. I usually have the best luck in the worst conditions.

how do you catch bream on jigs? trolling, casting...???
