Does a porcupine quill resemble a stick
when it hits the water. This opposed to a round cork? Seems like in the shallow water spawn a quill is less spooky than any other cork. Is it just me being to analytical? Anybody have any real life...

Live Scope mounted on the end of a pier...
Anyone have any thoughts if this will work. My pier ends in 7' fow. It tapers to 15' about 1' per 3' of surface distance.
Would use it at night mostly. Thanks.
**End of pier is 2' above waterline. -

Water temp, time of year, and will they spawn early
Assuming water temp here in south Louisiana stay in the mid 50s and up for the next 2 months, will the sacs spawn early,,like Jan/early Feb? Or do the eggs have to be fully developed?

Update
I did turn off the bright light and aerator 2 days ago. Left a small light on close to the bank just enough to see my cork in the distance.
