I caught 3 keeper crappie on Friday afternoon fishing in 20 ft of water. The fish were holding at about 12-16 ft. Caught them on live minnows on the north end of the lake.

Cut the cane poles while they are still green and then we hang them from the tall pine tree in the yard from the tip so they dry straight. Usually let them hang about a month. Then seal them.

I fished the East fork last Sunday and caught 24 crappie and only 8 were keepers. Guess I will try the Bayou this weekend.
