I think smallmouth. The color around the gill and speckles near the tail are interesting. If the eyes were red I'd say red eye but here I think smallmouth

Went to kayak lake aka Franklin Co lake this afternoon. Caught several smaller crappie and a few keeper size. A young man was loading up as I was unloading and he gave me 4 really nice keepers also....

Moulton new city lake?
Anyone tried new city lake in Moulton yet? I really struggle there I think because the water is usually so clear and most of the structure seems to be rock and not woods or stumps etc.

How fall effects lake vs river system crappie
How does the fall transition effect fish in a lake like moulton new city lake or others like it as opposed to how it effects crappie on the river system like limestone, flint etc??
