I use 11/6 minni mits and for the most part gills always stop at the lead very rarely do I need to worry about them swallowing it

I missed out on the crappie bite by the time I did go it was dam near 15 ft higher than normal found a flat that had sauger on it ended up with something like 30 or 33 for Memorial Day weekend other...
