Jack (Sauger) in my opinion are better than Crappie just because the size, but for taste, I'd say they are the same, very hard pick between the two.

Wow, never heard of that before! We mainly only fish for them from about Oct. thru Feb. or March bumping jig and minnows in deeper water.
