Yep, I've caught cats trolling for Stripers on Santee Cooper as well as when trolling for Crappie and walleyes in Michigan. Hope to see the show.

BTW, the north chain of lakes (Craig, Morrison, Randall, Cemetary) have very good crappie fishing.

Don't have to launch at Waffle Farm. There is a public launch on Craig Lake that is adjacent to the north side of Waffle Farm campground.

Gotta do some rigging yet to suit my style, add a Scotty transducer mount, another rod holder, basket for tackle, etc. had forgotten how stable this yak is. Got a multitude of small lakes and ponds...

She's been stored in my shed for the last 6 years. Thought it was time to get her out and on the water. Great sit in fishing yak with tons of cockpit space. Has a weight capacity of 450 lbs....

Not squirrel season around here yet but we have a very healthy population of black squirrels in this area

Just got back from a quick trip to the lake. Second cast, caught this 267829
those are 8" pliers. I guess we do have some nice size green sunfish in the lake :biggrin

You must of had a great time with those hawgs, even if it was hot.

I can only imagine how the strike of a 2lb green sunfish would feel. Those little ones really smacked my jig.

I've caught a few rock bass in the same area as the Warmouth and green sunfish. They go directly from the lake to the frying pan. I've have to start keeping any warmouth and green sunfish of a decent...

Will have to try fishing them the next time I am in Arkansas. Our daughter and her family are in Searcy.

They were all caught on a 2" Gulp Emerald Shiner. The small ones were in the rip rap near shore. If I drug the minnow thru the rocks they would come out of the rocks and attack. They hit very hard...

Anybody here target warmouth when out fishing? Over the last couple of days I have been catching them while Crappie fishing. One good size and some small ones. Don't hear much here in Michigan...

Between wind and rain, it has the docks at the public launch under a foot of water. If I have to wade to launch the boat I'll wait until the water warms up. Been fishing from shore between storms

I've got 3 different types of the rocket bobber. I like them. Eliminates the need for split shot above the jig. Have caught many fish on them

I've used plain old rubber bands as well as the commercial tied ones. Prefer the commercial tied ones as they have always seemed to work well for me.

+1 on catching lots of fish on one piece of plastic. I also like the 1 1/2 to 2 inch size

It was pretty windy on the lake today so I left the boat at home and fished from shore. Caught 9 Sacalait, 2 largemouth bass, 1 rock bass and 1 fat sunfish. Used a 9ft ultra light rod with 6 lb test...

I've done it out of both. Prefer the small pontoon for the stability factor (probably because of my age). Have the kayak and a couple pontoons for sale in the Members Sale section.
