Get yourself a 6.5 to 7 foot light or med light spinning rod paired with decent spinning reel. Makes casting small jigs, jig/float, minnow/float very easy. Also use light line, 2-6 pound test

Just did this on my '13 F150. Everything worked but running lights. Fuse under hood was blown. 20 amp that they call a trailer light relay in owners manual even though it's a fuse.

Fished shallow with cork and minnows. Deepest was three feet. Not limit but decent fish. Been catching lots of nine inch fish this year and this is first day that did not catch any small fish....

Fished yesterday and caught a few. Two keepers around 12 inches but lots of dinks using minnows in 6 FOW. Bite stopped bout 10:30. Will try next Friday.
