You are correct Rickie NMEA only

Another time this condition happens is when you start your motor with your FF on and it turns off. Lowrance will shut off below 10vdc

After you have done all of the above do a "reset".

That will work but Minn Kota has extensions for those battery chargers and I recommend using them. Don't just add wire to the existing wire. You'll lose the temperature measurement of the batteries....
