It's been a while since I've caught any but if memory serves me, they look just like a shad only with big eyes. I used to catch them below ky. Dam when I catfished there.

I talked with a gentleman today and he said people were catching nice size redear by Eureka campground and Poplar Creek.

I caught a few skipjack a couple weeks ago and got them in the freezer. I've been reading that several people are catching them below Barkley Dam now. I'm going to go down soon and try to catch a few...

I was on Barkley but didn't have any luck. Saw several guys spider rigging and a few fishing fallen trees adjacent to deep water.

You need to get your boat ready, I have been fishing from the bank as my boat has been in the shop. I've fished every day this week and have caught only two crappie!

I use the ones you get at Wal Mart, the ones with the string and bead. It's working good for me.

That's the price as quoted by a dealer down around KY. Lake. Same set up as you are talking about.

I'm using Sufix hi vis now but I'm getting ready to switch as this stuff twists too bad?

When I was younger, we used to fish the slough's off the Ohio River and caught really nice size crappie. We used a cane pole with minnows under a bobber. Fished in the lily pads. Those were fun times!

Could you put a staple on the back side of the eye on the tip, put your bend in the rod and put staples on the back side of the other eyes?

I got my senior license this year too! I don't know whether to be sad I'm a senior or be happy they only cost $5.00.LOL

I know how you feel too, I've gone through my jigs,bobbers, hooks, put new line on my reels, changed reels and rods around charged my boat batteries and worn the pages out on my Bass Pro Shops...

It sure will help, I tried it last year when I was fishing a part of a lake where I couldn't overhead cast. I was able to shoot the lure out just as far as a normal cast!

I had it happen years ago on KY. LAKE. A guy came down to his dock and told me he'd put a brush pile next to his dock and for me not to fish there. I thanked him for the tip and caught a nice BASS...
