I highly recommend a stiff pup from the bank , whippy rods and softer backbones are not the best for casts and hooksets, 7 is probably my favorite length off the bank , but some 8 footers are good...

after that many casts I start changing things up ,presentation speeds and movements first, depth is next, then size and color, I will also broaden the fan casts if I am targeting a not so specific...

Those that run hard core electronics have likely seen the effects of muddy waters on the screen , we often see heavy amounts of debris in the water in the soup .

According to the fisheries fellas here they all spawn , some not very successfully, but they still attempt it , some of those failures appear in females with late spring early summer mushy brown eggs...
