Anybody got a report on Pickwick lately? It should be getting close to longlining season over there. It was early to mid February last year when the fish started staging and bite was picking up.

For longlining, I am considering downsizing to 8 foot or less. I agree that when you hang up a longer rod it causes all kinds of problems.

Wife and I got checked at the boat ramp a few weeks ago. He was very pleasant and only checked our licenses. Live well was empty anyway since the wind blew me off the water.
