Where does one launch up-river or close to up-river?

Launch at Hwy 99 bridge and go up river to the creek in shallow water when the spawn begins. White jigs 2-4ft.

Unusual weather this year. Looks the cool weather is not over. The spawn is really late on Canyon this year.

Lake Corpus Christi (Mathis) is good for Crappie

Fished Canyon today. The river was full of blips. Too windy to jig. Got three skinny females, barely keepers, trolling rattle traps and Rapala. Lotsa fish, hard to catch. 20-26 ft.
