Not sure about them, but I bought my boat at Airport Marine in Alabaster and they were and have been great to deal with. I guess that does not help much considering the boat is at another dealer.

I would mount it at the middle seat location on some kind of elevated bracket so you can turn the unit to face the front or rear of the boat. I have a friend that did this and it works good.

You could also buy one of the cheap crappie reels and tape it on the rod. Get one slide on eyes for the back end of the pole. This way you will be able to change depths if necessary.
