hello .. ive built a puddle duck . a 4x8 sail boat for use on truman lake.
i would like to add a small outboard . say a 2hp ..
the law says . no title or registration for sail boats under 12...

i lould love to buy your motor...heck ? ive got a standard yammie 9.9 . long shaft ..2002 four stroke remote.
ill trade ya... need the high thrust for my sail boat.

my boat will have external chines.. im trying to build her totally open floorplan...with nothing to catch and hold water ...
am looking into a side mount console ..for the steering and controls....

Earl it intimidating to me too...thats why im just going to PL glue ..and stainless screws.

Well ...here goes.
started buying plywood for a 16' brockway scow.
(Think high sided oyster crab boat )
Square bow ... six foot bottom.
Bought some plans ...going to see if i can build a nice...

Why must the stick steer be in the front? Why not in the middle of the boat?
And why must the throttle be on the right and stick on port? Why not run both on same side.

Make your own ... out of lead fishing sinkers ...pound one till its round ..to fit ..snip it to length. Presto!

Ok.....got the old motor off...tore into the transom ..replacing the transom ..new boards new screws (stainless ) and bolts ...also stainless. Also a nice plate of aluminium for added strength ......
