You just use 1 jig put it on like a normal jug then spread the hooks out to the width u like. When it is time to change jigs u just pull them back together hook one hook under the barb of the other...

No they don't straighten out easy but I haven't lost hardly any for some reason you can jiggle it a little and it will come back off as long as u don't set the hook into a snag. We use a 1/4 oz most...
