I always take February off because of the winter...
I always take February off because of the winter draw down. The drastic drop in water level seems to mess them up for a while. About middle if March it starts getting good.

I'm pretty sure with the new helix you can go to hummingbirds website and buy a map just for the lake you want. It's cheaper that way if you only fish one or two lakes.

I'm all for a 10" limit. I usually don't keep 9" crappie at LOZ because they are usually really skinny and all you get is a fish stick piece of meat out of them. Or maybe I'm just bad at filleting...

Fished the LOZ Big Niangua. Started at 7:30 done by 8:45. 12-15 ft of water over brush. By the end of the week they will probably just jump in the boat for you. Good luck.
