I also use a line counter Be at the slabfest or come to the Oconee slab masters. But going with rusty is the best... As the water warms up the fishing get's easier .....

I use Pline for all tournaments but for the money the BPS Excel is a good line not much twist..

Oconee is always dead in Jan but Feb.is always better. once the temp quits bouncing they will start to move out of the deep.

That not a condo it's a duck blind. just set it up in too deep of water

Ive had good luck there but it may be a bit early. look for deeper water no less than 25' titeline minnows 18' deep. most of the fish are on the riverchanel
