try the rocks on the east side by the restaraunts. Use a jig abou 12-18" under a cork and fish parallel and straight out from the bank.

I think that would work for bass also. Those big plastics are so heavy, they never stay up.

For me, jigs greatly out perform live bait. Occasionaly I have to use minnows, but usually I will out catch every bait fisherman in the boat.

We use live shad. Gizzards 3-4 inches long seem to produce the best.

Pro series, mainly the handle differences. As stated above, cork instead of foam and the weight kit.

I use the spiderwire 6/1 on my crappie rods and love it. I have power pro on all my bass rods and would'nt think of going back to mono.

I have thought about trying a jig on bottom, but was afraid of snags. Do you get hung up much?

I bet some skiptomylu jigs tied on those fisherman's edge heads would be deadly. What do yall think?

I use a drop shorig with a 1/4 ounce weight on the bottom. For the hook I just use a gold crappie hook with a YUM beavertail 2" threaded on.

WM Pro-series, has more back bone that the B&M's. I like the 10 footers.

I hit a bumble bee nest with the weedeater, twice. A total of about 70 stings:mad: . As I recall the burn was pretty intense, only thing I did was stay away from that nest in the future.

Don't put it up for a back up, take it back to Wal-Mart and get your money back. Then use your $ to buy a good reel.

It should, we use the little single LED keychain lights and they make 'em glow great.
