Does anyone fish the Hog Pen on Corney Bayou pretty place and good
fishing.

I used to live about 2 miles out of Washington toward Opelousas
till 1986 and there were some of the best fishing places a man
could ask for in any direction.

12ga. shotgun works pretty good.

I used fish those same areas when I lived down there.
The grimmet canal was hot in the spring but the best
fish were in Fordoche Bayou. Go the back of the canal
and go through the woods...

When I lived in Rayne,La. 1959-72 gar meat was higher than center cut pork chops. My neighbors would BBQ the patties and they were real good.

I use the Okuma Fly reels and the Solo reel must work the same as the Okuma is shipped with handle left , no trouble to change the bearing around . The Okumas are very good too.

Have had lot better luck on shiners at night.

Any soured grain will work used to keep 2 55 gal. drums souring at a time.We would bait 4-5 places then go back and start fishing.Yes they will bite in the day.
