New to crappie fishing...does the fact that it's high vis not reduce the number of strikes due to the fishing being able to se the line or is it only high vis out of the water?

Went out this afternoon to kill a few hours - Water Temp was 69 degrees. Only caught 4 fish, but being on the boat by myself after chaperoning 7th graders on an overnight fieldtrip was relaxing....

Hey gabowman. Can you long line from rod holders on the side of the boat or do they need to be mounted on the back? Also, do you use additional weight when long lining or just the jigs?
