I've only fished it for saugeye in the fall. Have caught crappie out of the spillway though.

I've heard that spring is the time there for big crappie. Lots over 12in and some around 16-17in

The crappie in the Hocking River were hittin really good last week and early this week. Most were 12inches.

Usually I use twisters. I'm gonna give tubes a try this year.

Fished a pond yesterday and caught my first crappie of the year. Was only about 8in. Also caught 4 largemouth and 5 gills.:D

I've caught a few gills around 10in. at night. They were shallow on the edge of a weed bed. Also have caught gills at night while ice fishing with a glow jig.

Saw a crayfish and a bunch of minnows in the shallows while fishing the Hocking River last weekend.

6lb trilene xl has been working good for me.

I've caught a few bass and some saugeye on them , but they don't work as good as i though they would.

In december i hit a few ponds a caught some small crappie. Fished Atwood quite bit around Christmas. Caught some nice ones out there 10-12". Anybody else get on the ice?

Atwood especially when there is ice. Some backwater areas of the Tuscarawas River can be great for crappie.

16 inch white crappie. Caught on a 2in. white grub with a spinner from a pond.

I don't know if there is a difference between nibbles and regular powerbait. I have used nibbled to tip spoons and jigs when ice fishing and they work great!!
