Between night shifts today i decided to go for an hour session to see if the crappie were done their spawn or not. I was thinking i'd missed the spawn already as the fishing had been slow...

I would ask local tackle shops and the people you see catching them first. If the water is clear i would suggest they would be as deep as possible during the day at least. maybe target deeper eddy...
