Mica powder gives somewhat of a pearl look. A little of the color shift quality and a little of a metallic finish. Can add it to any color - just do so sparingly or the base color you started with...

Leadfreejigheads is about the only place i know of that could come close. Not as small as you mention but down to #10 jig hooks so pretty small - Fly Balls - and always get confused if it is a 1/64...

At that weight, get yourself some hematite beads and the size jig hooks you want and make your own. Tungsten beads would also work but much more expensive.

Don't think the clear will help to stop drips...... most likely is as was said - just too much paint would be my guess as well. Too hot during cure will let the powder flow too easily also.
