I average 3 to 4 crappie a min. At times I do not cast just flip so I do not have to reel :-) It is easy to get 100 an hour all day long! I have landed over 200 in an hour many times!

You can start getting crappie on the main lake sarting around march 15th. and it picks up in the canals around easter.
Try on the dock at the motel at night (under the lights).

I would give it a week or two for it to be white hot crappie fishing. Fish on a sunny day! crappie like the sun!

This time of year the crappie are out in the main lake. Look for docks, rockpiles, pilings and lily pad edges. Brush is also a great choice. Look for movment on the edge of the pads and try crapie...

do not catch many after easter they move out into the main lake and spread out and are not schooled. If I would try now I would fish the edge of the pads and deeper brush and pilings.

Silver lake has some nice crappie. I have had days that I can get 100 crappie over 1 pound with lots over 1.5 lbs. You will not need down riggers there:D .

The crappie are smaller in the spring from the fall catch. But with silver having a limit you will see the overall size going up! People are catching crappie on silver NOW. I would not hit it till...

yes they normaly start to spawn in March and some in April. Yes they spawn in the canals and rocky areas that have shelter.

The bass really start hitting well around March 15th and that is when the crappie move on to the motel dock at night! but Mid June is incredible!
All the big ol sows are starting to feel better...

One other crappie pattern that has paid big dividens in the fall, Dock fishing is great in the fall. Also around March 15th and the night bite can be the best on the docks. I have slammed some good...

Yes Waldon isalnd was hot all fall! Most of the bass came off the island this year and open flats (hard bottom areas).

It's a must have!!!
I would not have to tell you about all the good spots you would have a map that showwed you the exact spots!!!!...

I use them around shallow rocks they work better than cranks in that situation.

I have had some great luck on Bandit cranks, Senkos and hoola grubs on a jig hook! The big thing this time of year is cover lots of water (run & gun). If you start sticking some fish then S L O W...

If the canals are slow try the plastic docks on the south end of waldon island (houses on it). one more of my spots for this time of year! Good luck everyone!
