i find the crappie 14 inches and over have a grainy taste, i eat and stock the freezer with

I fillet them,wash,dry,and place them in food saver bags . Pre- freeze for about 2 hours and then
vacum pac. Going on 4 years and very pleased with this method, taste as good as fresh caught.

I enjoy G 3 sportsman and Al Linder'S Angling Edge the most .

Like to use them tied on with a loop knot. Find most of fish will be hooked in the Roof.
The hook gap is a bit wide and a smaller barb, just have to keep a tight line when,

i fish docks close to the river channel. Prefer 10 -20 Ft of water. Tightline 1/16 jig heads with #2 hooks and BG shads,
fished deep and slow on 4 # mr crappie line.

I use a Cutco Fisherman,s solution with an extendable blade, 6" to 9" . I find the 6"
suitable for crappie, trout and striper. Very fond of this knife !

I tightline jigs most of the time in stained lakes. Switched
to Glow colors about a year ago and never looked back.
They work for me!

Have fished both Gloomis and St.croix for pitchin jigs, both great Rods.
Presently using a 5 Foot St Croix Avid paired with a Pflueger Patriarch
(9525 ) . Use 4# Vicious Hi-Vis line. Very pleased...

i pitch jigs most of the time and prefer Mr. crappie or
Vicious Hi Vis in 4# Test. Have tried a number of other
lines and find myself going back to the ones that work
for me.

i fish out of a 2007 Pro 175 Alumacraft with a 90 Yamaha and very pleased
with it for the lakes i fish. Very fond of the 2- 23 Gal. live wells.i think you
are picking a winner. Lot of Excellant...

Use both, depends on the the application. prefer the short Rods as i throw jigs
around docks most of the time and feel like i get a quicker hookset with them.
My Part-ner uses the long Rods and...

i have friends that have family that will rent out thier place on the
lake near Centre. Not a more beautiful place around.

Found a new Mustang with H.I.T Technology on e-bay last year for 180. bucks made
in Canada for west marine. Can be worn in the rain ( they say ) like it real well.
Might try there if...

1/32 or 1/16 B.G. Shad in double silver rainbow,keep a spare rod beside me
with a white one on it for a ( change Up ) .

Interested in the 6ft SJR 720. Trying to decide between a mag L or
UL action. Will be used to throw 1/32 and 1/16 jigs around docks.
Perhaps another Loomis rod would be even better?
