im going to lake mohave soon and just wanted to know if i would have a chance catching bluegill at this time of season from shore.the water is probably cold but lately its been a warm winter so...

yeah i think it is too.i have another rod that is UL.its rated at 1/32-1/4 oz 2-6lb and its 7'.Would i be able to cast 1/16 and 1/32 oz lures far enough?Ill use a 500 FD reel on it with 4lb test

can i do the same thing with mini jigs,tubes,spoons and other lures?How far away should i put the weight from the lure?

would it be alright if i added a little weight above it?

but i cant get a good cast with those tied on alone.I use 4lb maxima mainline.

they're all about an inch and a half.So i just put however many split shots i want a foot and a half away from the lure?

Are these lures good for blue gill and red ear?How would you rig them from shore?I got them from bass pro shops.

Ill be going out to lake mojave next weekend so i guess ill be fishing for those 8" bluegills.My mom wants to make a soup out of them.

Im just not satisfied with the small ones.The last time i went fishing i caught an 8 inch blue gill with a piece of mackerel.I probably would of needed 3 more to be satisfied.
