Welcome to the ohio site. I fish hoover 4 crappies spring-fall and do very well. We also have Alum, Delaware, and Oshay. All of these are good crappies lakes and bass to.

Myself use shimnao reels and rods never let me down yet. Line keep it simple...

Just plain old tap water. Put water into a bowl and sit the spool in. Let it soak overnight then spool up. Never heard of that line before. I use triline and never have any trouble.;)

What kind of line,reels u using?

Make sure when putting line on the spool to hold the line so it goes on tight to the reel. Do not fill the spool all the way to the top. Leave a bit of room. Look...

Thought it would be cool to see what kind of bobber everyone likes best. Me used to fish with the oval shaped kind. Then found out the pencil floats works best for crappie. At least for me. ;)
