Welcome to the ohio site. I fish hoover 4 crappies spring-fall and do very well. We also have Alum, Delaware, and Oshay. All of these are good crappies lakes and bass to.

Just plain old tap water. Put water into a bowl and sit the spool in. Let it soak overnight then spool up. Never heard of that line before. I use triline and never have any trouble.;)

Thought it would be cool to see what kind of bobber everyone likes best. Me used to fish with the oval shaped kind. Then found out the pencil floats works best for crappie. At least for me. ;)
