Sunburned & "un-spawned" Crappie
2 interesting observations from Melvern.
Many of the crappie have red on them as if they were human and spent way too much time in the sun.
Any idea what that might be?

On Thursday visibility was 1-2 feet on lower end...
On Thursday visibility was 1-2 feet on lower end of lake, water temps 61-65. Lake was almost up to parking lot @ marina (+/- 6' high)

I will admit it is nice to get a change of scenery. It seems as if almost all similar lakes with regard to depth, structure etc in eastern Kansas have very, very similar fishing conditions/patterns....
