Caught nine sunday in about 3 hours. They were bitin good 20-25 feet of water 12-15 feet down out of the state park, but most of them were small. caught about 30, but only had nine keepers.

Sunday we caught 9 keepers in the channel fishin from 9-12. No one we saw was tearing them up. Tried shallow up little darbonne but got no bites.

I believe your problem may be the length of your rod. You normally need at least 5.5 feet of rod to pull in enough line on the hookset to set it solidly. Just my 2cents.
