Went out today Sunday 6-10 on Lawrence. Gills and crappie were slow. Got 11 bass 2 of them keepers the rest were all around 11-12 inches. Went out around 2 in the afternoon till about 7pm. No to bad...

The gills and crappie have been rough. But on the other hand 2weekend ago we went out and got 11 bass in 2 hours all 12-14 inches. (we let them all go)
As for the weeds id does seem like the cut...

Myers has been pretty good for gills lately. same with Lawrence. Havent heard much on the crappie bite there. We went out last Sunday and got a few nice size gills.

I would just get one. Just to be safe. You can usually find them cheap at Wal-Mart
