I have had people use the V-Lock for umbrellas, just get a flat insert and a couple U-Bolts kind of like way this bait table is set up.

Kingkrappie, the base is about 4" across at the top and 3/4" thick.
The mounting part of the insert is 4" square.
They are made of aluminum.

Why not use a V-Lock? That way you can stow it...
