Eureka! I read the entire chapter on carb rebuild and adjustments, couldn't find an initial setting for the idle screws except for "count how many turns it takes to remove the idle adjustment...

I just went through the carbs.
Fresh gas, fresh oil, and sea foam was added before I fired her up (love that stuff).
I set the idle mixture screws ate the same turns "IN" as I counted "OUT"...I...

Well...put new plugs in, the originals were...bottom 2-looked fine and used, middle 2 looked fouled, upper 2 looked like new. Replaced them all and it still idled rough, had to keep it choked to keep...

She lives! Fired right up after cleaning a ton of crap out of the fuel tank, and adding fresh gas/oil. No more fuel pouring from the bottom carb, so my rebuild must have been a success.

It's for "polling" in the flats...also useful as a higher vantage point for spotting....could also be used as a mount for a .50 caliber...LOL!

I use a Minnkota 2 bank in our C Dory...a year old and so far so good.

Thanks Nat...just put the final coat of paint on. All I lack now is hooking up the wiring from the fuse block to the various switches, and plugging in the do-dads.

I use the same method that you mentioned. I charge at the lowest amp rating that I can...according to the time that I have to charge them. Overnight for next day use is 10 amps that automatically...

Whew! Everything has at least one coat of paint on now! Tomorrow...I'll install the rod boxes, trolling motor, high bracket for the jet drive, and the center console...then maybe shoot the last coat...

Did that a couple years ago on our C Dory...that's WORK! Kinda hated to put it in the water after all that work...LOL!
