Looking for 1 inch pink champagne curly tail grubs in bulk.

I use the 4 and 6# hivis gold stren.....this line is tough!! I'm sure the fish can see it but look at the rainbow assortment of jigs that are used to catch crappie.

If I really want to eat some crappie and I know for sure that I'll clean them when I get home....I'll keep a few. 95% of the time I catch and release during the spawn.

If its open water.....I use 3lb p-line floroclear.....bridge pilings, rocks and docks I use 4lb stren hi vis gold

Regular tubes works just fine but where we fish the crappie go straight "shad minded" in the fall and could care less about any color jig you throw in front of them. It's just the way they are....I...

I add procure shad gel to my nibblets.....out here this time of year that mixture inside a southern pro minnow tube is deadly!! Thumbs Up

When did you get all that snow?

How big of a lake? I thought about the poor spawn factor too....the lake gets hit pretty hard all week when the gills and crappie are "on the bite" and its ridiculous on the weekends.

The lake has produced monster crappies and gills since I was little.....why would it all of a sudden die now?

Threadfin shad.....Use to see them in bait balls by the thousands but not like that anymore. In the past few years there have been massive die-offs of shad and its really starting to become noticable...

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure they will follow the food source.....as far as spawning goes, I think they go where they feel comfortable...water temp..cover..etc
