My Dad used one in the early 60s, he did not filet then just cut the head, and tail off and pulled the fins out and used the "skiner" to peel the skin and scales off.

How long does line last on the original spool stored in a drawer. I have some Mr. Crappie camo about 4 years old (big spool) and it seems to break at the knot.

I am fairly new to jigs, been using minnows for a long time, but I have a question, how long do you fish a particular jig with no bites before you change to a different style, color or size.

Build up with short two by fours or what ever it takes to get even with the top of the boat, then use "toggle bolts" to secure them to the boat seat. This is similar to what I did.

Went yesterday (monday) only caught four. Two in about 14 feet of water and two around 25. Water temp at 47 degrees, I cannot seem to get on a cold water pattern.
