Was there did well on brush and piers...
but hade to go way deep..
25' deep on piers and if fishing 15' brush had to go to the bottom and jig slow.

I like to mix it up..
haven't ran crankbaits yet this year.
I'm just doing catch and release now..
got enough in the freezer to hold me a good while.

I've got a place on the grand glaze...

Crappie can be found in 12 to 20' brush piles.
Some heavier ones still seem to be out in open water.
Just been swimming a natural color jog thru the brush.
Only catch and release here lately for...

Catching a nice limit of blacks every morning so far, in a few hours.

Picked up a limit this morning by myself.
Bridge peers about 15' deep.
It's tough fishing but it's producing good ones.

Caught 23 nice ones Saturday morning and 25 Sunday morning... between the two of us.

Ever since the lake was dirty and a lot of generation, I have been doing really well catching bass on main lake points... anywhere from 12 to 25 feet deep.
I mean even mid day fishing, catching 15...

Yes I've put the crappie poles down the last couple weeks.
Fished mainlake and secondary points with a crankbait and did very well.
Caught lots of keeper bass.. but they go right back in for...

The dirtiest I've seen it in the last 5 years..
couldn't see my jig 2" under the surface.

Don't know how long it will last but they are moving a lot of water from Truman for the next couple...

This is probably my last weekend to fish really...
Pulling the boat out Sunday.
My dock sits in 6' of water way back a cove, so I have to pull out or I can't get off my boat lift when they drop...

Missed fishing last weekend, so was eager to get out.
Hit the same chunk rock areas I was doing good at but not much love.

Fished alllllll day and ended up with 14, so close.

We use to gig them in the creeks.

I meant the windier the better chunk rock.

I have maybe two docks I can hit with some success sometimes.
Other than that I'm fishing brush or banks.

Concentrate on wind blown chunk rock, the not wind the better.

Got out about 6 this morn. Saturday morn.
Nothing happening till about 10:30

Tried numerous brush piles with plenty of dinks.
Fished a pile in 25' of water and it was on.
They were deep deep...

Got here this evening about an hour befor dark.
Slated 8 nice ones in 14' of water over brush pile.
Using an orange jig and a niblet.
The sun set and the bite was off like a light.

I use to use that line a lot dipping bushes at Rend lake.
Never had any problems.
But now use crappie max from pass pro high vis line.
Nice mess!

Been very hit and miss and definitely scattered last few weekends.
Caught 8 Sat morning and 12 Sunday morn.
Jigging brush in about 12' to 18' somewhat deep.
